Work on a defined challenge with a real deadline, learn from Xpert mentors, and graduate with proof of what you built.
A company, government agency, or prize organization comes to xFoundry with a specific problem and a clear goal.
Students apply to take part, and xFoundry selects a team fit for the challenge. Over 6 to 12 months, the team builds to industry standards, with Xpert mentors and the Resource MatriX behind them.
Teams can earn a contract, investment, or prize. Teams that qualify move into Xcelerate and turn the build into a company.
Team Crossfire reached the global semifinals of the XPRIZE Wildfire competition with a system designed to detect and suppress wildfires using drones and cameras already in the field. When the competition ended for them, they kept going.
Through Xpand, they launched Norden Labs, developing cloud-grade intelligence that runs on low-power, off-grid hardware to spot early warning signs of disaster.
