Anna earned dual degrees in biomedical engineering and business administration from the University of Mississippi, the first in the school’s history to do so. Additionally, she holds a master's degree in translational medicine from UC Berkeley and UCSF.
Her path to venture began at the lab bench, where she spent three years developing patient-friendly solutions for in vitro fertilization. Wanting to understand how companies get built and financed, she joined an early-stage venture capital firm. She soon moved to the other side of the table, joining various medical device startups to support business development and fundraising.
Anna’s conviction that college students produce excellence when given the right tools developed over four years as a student instructor. Now, she supports xFoundry program design and relationship management with affiliate universities and program participants.
