We empower student teams to launch companies that solve grand challenges.
xFoundry is building an alliance of universities to do something that IÂ can't think of right now because I'm tired but something about solution engines or students as solutionists or whatever. Maybe plug that really cool $2MÂ here.
Introducing Xperience.
Xperience uses competitions to focus students towards society’s most pressing challenges, and gives them a platform with up to $2M of investment to solve them through entrepreneurship.
You're doing fearless innovation. You're going to change the human condition. And for that, I salute you.
Jay Perman, MD

The most meaningful part of this program is just meeting different people and learning about their impact of how they made success in their own entrepreneurship aspirations.

xFoundry is absolutely brilliant, enabling university students in a safe place to innovate and then providing the opportunity to develop their ideas into a company.
Lisa Dolev, Ph.D.

Before Xperience, I wanted to get an MD. But now I see the importance of entrepreneurship in our daily lives, the importance of marketing, the importance of, everything that we're learning and experiencing in this class and in this in this program.

What type of challenges does the competition focus on? Â
Each year, xFoundry focuses on one grand challenge targeting global issues. Previous topics include mental health, clean energy, and education transformation. Â
What’s the commitment involved? Â
The competition spans 15 months with key milestones. It’s designed to fit into your academic schedule while delivering unparalleled hands-on experience. Â
The Horizons Challenge will take 5-10 hours of work for your team to produce the submission materials. Practicing and pitching are another matter!
How does funding work for winning teams? Â
Winning teams receive significant investments, ranging from $250K to $2M, to launch their ventures. Teams are also supported with mentoring and tools to scale their solutions.
Do I need to have a business idea to apply? Â
Not at all! We’re looking for creative, driven individuals. Join the program to collaborate on solutions and develop ideas alongside a team.
