Content Marketing Specialist

The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing, producing, and executing digital content that powers xFoundry’s brand. This role oversees storytelling across web, visual, and social channels, while also driving consistency in how we show up — both visually and narratively — across platforms.

This position will manage our websites, produce creative content, and support our digital brand presence, working closely with student interns and creative collaborators. While social media is a key responsibility, this position will utilize AI tools and automation to streamline those workflows, allowing this position to focus on higher-value tasks such as storytelling, design, and campaign execution.

Responsibilities

Content Design & Production (40%)

  • Design visually engaging marketing assets, including graphics, short videos, promotional collateral, and motion content.
  • Develop creative content for campaigns, events, storytelling, and brand-building efforts.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, and AI-assisted tools to expedite design and editing workflows.
  • Capture and edit short-form content from live events and student experiences.
  • Collaborate with interns and external partners to create polished content that supports xFoundry's mission.

Website Management (30%)

  • Manage content updates and maintenance for Webflow websites, including layout edits and visual refreshes.
  • Write and revise website copy to ensure content is clear, engaging, and accessible.
  • Collaborate on UX improvements, new page development, and visual storytelling across the web.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, design, and accessibility standards
  • Work with interns or contractors as needed for technical or creative enhancements

Social Media Strategy & Oversight (20%)

  • Implement social media strategy and manage xFoundry’s presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Develop content calendars, integrate campaigns, and create posts using AI tools and automations.
  • Monitor analytics and performance data to improve audience engagement.
  • Keep up with trends and platform changes to inform creative and strategic direction

Brand Messaging & Digital Communications (10%)

  • Craft messaging for announcements, newsletters, campaigns, and digital experiences
  • Translate program goals into compelling stories for students, faculty, partners, and the press.
  • Support campaign messaging, brand voice development, and storytelling frameworks.
  • Ensure tone, visual style, and voice are consistent across all communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in content production, digital marketing, or digital communications
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflow systems
  • Proven success running organizational social media accounts, including content creation, publishing, and performance analysis
  • Experience with Webflow or similar website builders (e.g., Squarespace, Wix, WordPress)
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva
  • Familiar with project management tools (e.g., Fibery, Notion, Asana) to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in higher education, entrepreneurship, or innovation-focused environments
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
  • Understanding of media relations or PR processes
